Genome-Wide Identification, In Silico Analysis and Expression Profiling of SWEET Gene Family in Loquat (Eriobotrya japonica Lindl.)

SWEETs (sugars will eventually be exported transporters) have various physiological and biochemical roles in plant growth, including pollen development, seed nourishment, nectar secretion, longer-distance sugar transportation. The SWEET genes were identified species, but they not yet been thoroughly characterized. Here, we discovered 21 putative from the Eriobotrya japonica Lindl. genome. For further elucidation, comprehensive bioinformatics analysis was utilized to determine physicochemical properties, gene organization, conserved motifs, cis-regulatory elements, duplication, phylogenetic relationships of EjSWEET genes. Most proteins predicted located on plasma membrane or vacuole. Gene organization motif showed that numbers exons motifs each ranged strikingly, between 5 6 8, respectively. Synteny tandem segmental duplication played a dynamic role evolution loquat. Likewise, analyzed expression patterns root, stem, leaf, flower, fruit Some exhibited varying loquat tissues, indicating their potential development. relative levels EjSWEET1, EjSWEET3, EjSWEET16 noticeably higher ripened fruits, suggesting possible transportation unloading sugars fruits. present study provides initial genome-wide identification characterization family lays foundation for functional analysis.
