Genome-wide association study identifies new loci for 1000-seed weight in Brassica napus

Oilseed rape (Brassica napus L.) is an important oilseed crop worldwide and 1000-seed weight (SW) the determinant of seed yield B. napus. To elucidate genetic mechanism SW mining candidate genes, a panel 403 diverse accessions was screened in genome-wide association study (GWAS) using 1.60 million single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs). This identified 340 SNPs significantly associated with by general linear model (GLM) mixed (MLM). Through GWAS combined transcriptome data, two differentially expressed genes were as (BnaA02g06870D BnaC06g28920D). Candidate gene analysis haplotype showed that inbred lines carrying ACCC at BnaA02g06870Hap1 TTGG BnaC06g28920Hap1 had greater than other alleles. favourable haplotypes this will be useful for large-seed breeding
