چکیده
The relationship among six Jordanian almond landraces was studied using morphological traits and RAPD analyses. Across studied, nut shape, kernel size, length, shell length That showed a high level of variation (CV>30%), while width, internodes width comparatively low values (CV<20%). Principal component analysis that the first five components explained all investigated. Kernel were predominant in three contributing to most total existed landraces. Euclidean distance used construct clusters from data which allocated individuals into two main groups with ranging 5.5 10.14. Hajari, Hami Hallo, Mukhmaly small fruit sizes composed one cluster, other (Oga, Fark, Abu Dabos) large cluster. Out 62 pre-screened primers, 12 reproducible bands maximum polymorphism selected for diversity analysis. Seventy-one scored 28 them being polymorphic. Average value polymorphism/primer ranged 20% 74.2%. Nei's genetic coefficient 0.5 0.85 an average 0.70. Molecular revealed inconsistent separation compared based on traits. Although found during screening Ajloun area are limited number, but considerable observed both at DNA levels indicating rich valuable materials improvement.

Assessment of the Genetic Diversity of Almond (Prunus dulcis) Using Microsatellite Markers and Morphological Traits
The genetic diversity among 56 almond (Prunus dulcis) genotypes was analysed using 35 microsatellite markers and 14 morphological traits. Analysis of morphological traits revealed a wide range of variation among the studied genotypes. Out of 35 simple sequence repeats (SSRs) markers, 25 were polymorphic, producing 215 alleles that varied from 2 to 16 with an average of 8.76 alleles per locus. R...

Submitted: Aug 3, 2013; Accepted: Sep 10, 2013; Published: Sep 18, 2013 Abstract: Basil is used as culinary herb and assigned as medicine and spice plant. In order to evaluate some morphological variability and RAPD analysis for herb growth and oil yield characters among three varieties (French, Purple and Lemon basils), an experiment was conducted in two seasons (2010-2011) over two cuts in co...

Collection and conservation of germplasm, particularly for landraces of important agronomically species and organizing their information, cause to continuity of their usefulness and reduce the risk of their genetic erosion. In this experiment, 10 Iranian wheat landraces along with the Chinese Spring cultivar, as control, were used to assess inter and intra populations variation by using ISSR mo...
متن کاملSeasonal Variation of Carbohydrate Content in Stem and Leaves of Almond (prunus Amygdalus L.)
Seasonal change of total carbohydrate contents in samples taken from leaves and stems of almond varieties was investigated. Carbohydrate contents in the leaves and stem of all varieties showed seasonal differences. The highest carbohydrate content in the leaves and stem of all varieties was found in April, and January, respectively. The lowest carbohydrate content in the leaves of Nonpareil was...
