Genetic Diversity of Rabbit (Oryctolagus cuniculus) Population in South Eastern Nigeria Using Microsatellite Markers

چکیده
A study was conducted to estimate the diversity that exists among three rabbit populations adapted South-Eastern part of Nigeria. Blood samples were collected from 75 matured, mixed-sex, and unrelated breeds selected across zone. Eight microsatellites (Sol30, Sol33, Sol44, Sat3, Sat7, Sat8, Sat12, INRA) markers used for study. These uniformly distributed genomes genotyping. Subsequently, genetic variability within between calculated. Allelic frequencies Hardy-Weinberg equilibriums as well Analysis Molecular Variance, also estimated using GenAlEX 6.41 software. Discriminant Principal Components (DAPC) population structure performed in R v.3.5.0 package adegenet. All 8 loci amplified this found be 100% polymorphic, observed allele sizes their microsatellite every showed highest frequency 0.330 with size 470bp at Sol33 locus New Zealand White (NZW) rabbits. The Nei’s identities distances Chinchilla (CHI) Dutch (DUT), CHI NZW, DUT NZW obtained [0.173, 0.185, 0.189] [1.753, 1.689, 1.666] respectively. dendrogram biplot revealed identified two separate clusters. In addition, admixture level an individual indicated not pure existence more polymorphism breed than diversity.

Cryopreservation of Genetic Diversity in Rabbit Species (Oryctolagus cuniculus)
After the ratification of the international convention on the biodiversity in Rio, a National Cryobank was created in France in 1999 to preserve the genetic resources of domestic animals (www.cryobanque.org). Particular attention was carried on Oryctolagus cuniculus species with the extension of the national cryobanking to the rabbit (Joly et al., 1998). Nowadays, this tool is very useful for t...

Other comments: Chromosomal location is unknown for the nine markers. The loci containing imperfect repeats (namely Sat4, Sat5 and Sat8) showed the greatest variability in allele size. Mutations leading to such differences in number of repeats probably involve processes other than mispairing slippage, which generates convergent mutations less frequently. Differences in allele size of Nine polym...

Genetic diversity estimation of plant materials is one of the important pre-breeding activities in breeding field crops. Twenty-one microsatellite markers used to assess genetic diversity and relationship of 68 sunflower genotypes (Helianthus annuus L.). All of 21 pairs of SSR (Simple Sequence Repeats) markers produced a total number of 49 polymorphic bands. DNA fragments ranged from 9...
متن کاملStationary distributions of microsatellite loci between divergent population groups of the European rabbit (Oryctolagus cuniculus).
Previous analysis of mitochondrial DNA polymorphism in the native range of the European rabbit (Oryctolagus cuniculus) demonstrated the occurrence of two highly divergent (2 Myr) maternal lineages with a well-defined geographical distribution. Analysis of both protein and immunoglobulin polymorphisms are highly concordant with this pattern of differentiation. However, the present analysis of ni...

Rice (Oryza sativa L.) is one of the most significant cereal crops, about 3 billion people, nearly half the world's population; depend on rice for survival and it offers up to 80% of daily energy intake in most of the Asian countries. Knowledge of the distribution, extent and pattern of genetic variation is useful for estimation of any possible loss of genetic diversity and its role in breeding...
