چکیده
Abstract Objective The objectives of this study were to investigate the antifungal susceptibility and genetic diversity Candida albicans isolated from HIV + patients with oropharyngeal candidiasis. A total 50 C. isolates cultured on Sabouraud glucose agar containing chloramophenicol. against fluconazole, clotrimazole, nystatin, amphotericin B, ketoconazole flucytosine was assessed using disc diffusion method. determined random amplified polymorphic DNA marker. Results inhibition zones ranged 4 ± 1.8 40 3.8 mm for 7 1.0 37 ketoconazole, 14 0.8 to24 25 0.0 33 nystatin 4.2 clotrimazole. At 90% similarity, three distinct groups observed. smallest cluster composed 3 isolates, whereas largest one 17 isolates. 32% (16/50), 28% (14/50) 14% (7/50) resistant respectively.

Sequences type analysis of Candida albicans isolates from Iranian human immunodeficiency virus infected patients with oral candidiasis.
The growing number of immunocompromised individuals has increased the incidence of infections caused by Candida species during the recent decades. Typing of C. albicans on the basis of DNA sequences at multiple loci has greatly advanced our knowledge about the epidemiology and phylogeny of candidiasis. The aim of this study was to evaluate the diversity, and genetic relationships among C. albic...

Background: Vulvovaginal candidiasis (VVC) is an important health problem caused by Candida spp. The aim of this study was molecular identification, phylogenetic analysis, and evaluation of antifungal susceptibility of non-albicans Candida isolates from VVC. Methods: Vaginal secretion samples were collected from 550 vaginitis patients at Sayyad Shirazi Medical and Educational Center of Gorgan (...
متن کاملMolecular identification and antifungal susceptibility of Candida albicans isolated from Vulvovaginitis Candidiasis
Vulvovaginal candidiasis is caused by the increasing number of Candida species as normal flora in the vagina. To assess the transmission rout as well as to determine the suitable antifungal drugs for treatment, the exact identification of Candida species is crucial. Therefore, earlier detection of infection allows quick initiation of antifungal therapy with a greater probability for improved su...
متن کاملSusceptibility pattern of Candida albicans isolated from Iranian patients to antifungal agents
Background and Purpose: Candidiasis is a major fungal infection, and Candida albicans is the major cause of infections in humans. The Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute (CLSI) developed new breakpoints for antifungal agents against C. albicans. In this multi-center study, we aimed to determine the drug susceptibility profile of C. albicans, isolated from Iranian population according...
