GENETIC DIVERSITY ANALYSIS OF COMMON BEAN (PHASEOLUS VULGARIS L.) GENOTYPES USING SCOT POLYMORPHISM

نویسندگان

چکیده

Common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) is legume crop of worldwide importance and due to optimal content proteins other essential compounds it has a potential as functional food. Genetic diversity studies are significant from the point obtaining information important for breeding process. The goal present work was analyze genetic among 34 genotypes common different countries using 5 SCoT (Start Codon Targeted) markers. Altogether 82 DNA fragments were amplified, out which 66 polymorphic with an average 11 per primer. highest number detected by marker 59 (15). percentage polymorphism ranged 57.17% (SCoT 2) 78.57% 19) 67.3%. PIC values varied 0.719 0.886 3) value 0.802. DI between 0.722 0.888 (SCoT3), 0.804. dendrogram bean, constructed based on hierarchical cluster analysis separated into two clusters (I II). Cluster I formed subclusters. Thirty-three included in genotype Albena (Slovak Republic), significantly differed seed size II. Obtained results support effectiveness markers useful differentiating assessment set germplasm.

Phenotypic Diversity among Croatian Common Bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) Landraces

Phenotypic diversity among Croatian common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) landraces was assessed by analysing 12 qualitative and six quantitative traits in 338 accessions collected from all production areas in Croatia. Out of 12 qualitative morphological traits, seed coat colour was the most polymorphic among accessions having the highest Shannon’s information index and discriminating power. Out ...

Biplot Analysis for Evaluation of Tolerance in Some Bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) Genotypes to Bean Common Mosaic Virus (BCMV)

The common bean is the most important grain legume for direct human consumption in the world and BCMV is one of the world's most serious bean diseases that can reduce yield and quality of harvested product. To determine the best tolerance index to BCMV and recognize tolerant genotypes, 2 experiments were conducted in field conditions. Twenty five common bean genotypes were sown in 2 separate RC...

Genotypes of the Common Bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) Lacking the Nodule-Enhanced Isoform of Glutamine Synthetase.

Glutamine synthetase (GS) is an octameric enzyme. The nodule cytosol of the common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) has two major types of GS subunit polypeptides ([beta] and [gamma]). As a result, nine different isozymes containing varied proportions of [beta] and [gamma] can be generated. The isozymes are resolvable by native polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. Staining the gel for GS activity re...

Shape analysis of common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) seeds using image analysis

Morphological features of common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) seeds were measured in five bean cultivars (Akhtar, Ks21189, Ks31169, G11867 and khomein) using digital image analysis. The images of seeds were captured using digital camera (Canon G7). The images were analyzed using image processing toolbox of MATLAB ver. 7.6 software. Morphological features including Area, Perimeter, Major and Min...

Morpho-Physiological Characterization Related to Drought Tolerance of Common Bean (Phaseolus Vulgaris L.) Genotypes

Drought is one of the limiting factor in common bean, development of common bean varieties that adapted to drought situations is the main focus for improving food crops. In this study, 25 genotypes of common beans (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) were grown under drought stress and non-stress conditions. The field work was conducted at Melkassa Agricultural Research Center during the off-season that lai...
