Genetic analysis of resilience indicators based on milk yield records in different lactations and at different lactation stages

چکیده
Resilience is the ability of cows to cope with disturbances, such as pathogens or heat waves. To breed for improved resilience, it important know whether resilience genetically changes throughout life. Therefore, aim was perform a genetic analysis on 2 indicators based data from 3 periods first lactation (d 11–110, 111–210, and 211–340) full lactations, estimate correlations health traits. The were natural log-transformed variance (LnVar) lag-1 autocorrelation (rauto) daily deviations in milk yield an expected curve. Low LnVar rauto indicate low variability quick recovery, good resilience. Data 200,084 first, 155,784 second, 89,990 third lactations used. Heritabilities similar different (0.12–0.15 LnVar, 0.05–0.06 rauto). However, heritabilities higher than those (0.20 0.08 rauto), due lower residual variances. decreased 0.20 1 0.19 0.06 rauto. For well rauto, strongest correlation between period (0.97 0.96 rauto) weakest (0.81 0.65 Similarly, both traits (0.99 0.95 (0.91 0.71 resilience-related traits, udder health, ketosis, longevity, adjusted yield, almost always favorable (?0.59 0.02). In most cases these stronger periods. Genetic across but increased substantially ?0.31 ?0.51 3. not other weak (?0.27 0.15). indicator breeding, preferred over A multitrait index estimated breeding values 1, 2, recommended improve lifetime cow.

Genetic correlation of average somatic cell score at different stages of lactation with milk yield and composition in Holstein cows
Genetic and non-genetic correlations of the average somatic cell score (SCS) at different stages oflactation (100, 150, 200, 305 and 365 days in milk) with lactation performance were estimated based on thefirst lactation records of Iranian Holstein calving during 2000 to 2009. (Co) variance components wereestimated using derivative-free REML based on multiple traits animal models. The estimated...
متن کاملDefining appropriate model for genetic analysis of milk yield in different lactations of Iranian Holstein cows
In this study, appropriate genetic co (variance) structure across ages of milk production in the Iranian Holstein cows was modeled using 35167 records originated from 1098 sires and 27236 dams. These data were collected from 110 herds during 2011 to 2015 by the Iranian Animal Breeding Center. For all lactations, birth year, birth month, calving year, calving season, calving month, age and herd ...

متن کاملCow's milk quality and energy value during different lactation stages.
BACKGROUND The quality of dairy products, raw milk in particular, depends on many factors. Low bacterial and somatic cell counts are basic determinants of the appropriate raw milk quality. The objective of the work was to assess the effect of selected factors, that is, the age of cows and their daily milk performance, on cytological quality (somatic cell count) and energy value of milk produced...
متن کاملApplication of random regression models for genetic analysis of 305-d milk yield over different lactations of Iranian Holsteins
OBJECTIVE During the last decade, genetic evaluation of dairy cows using longitudinal data (test day milk yield or 305- day milk yield) using random regression method has been officially adopted in several countries. The objectives of this study were to estimate covariance functions for genetic and permanent environmental effects and to obtain genetic parameters of 305-day milk yield over seven...
