Linear-exponential-quadratic Gaussian Control for Stochastic Partial Differential Equations
In this paper a control problem for a controlled linear stochastic equation in a Hilbert space and an exponential quadratic cost functional of the state and the control is formulated and solved. The stochastic equation can model a variety of stochastic partial differential equations with the control restricted to the boundary or to discrete points in the domain. The solution method does not req...
متن کاملglobal results on some nonlinear partial differential equations for direct and inverse problems
Linear Operators and Stochastic Partial Differential Equations in Gaussian Process Regression
In this paper we shall discuss an extension to Gaussian process (GP) regression models, where the measurements are modeled as linear functionals of the underlying GP and the estimation objective is a general linear operator of the process. We shall show how this framework can be used for modeling physical processes involved in measurement of the GP and for encoding physical prior information in...
متن کاملFunctional Partial Linear Regression
When predicting scalar responses in the situation where the explanatory variables are functions, it is sometimes the case that some functional variables are related to responses linearly while other variables have more complicated relationships with the responses. In this paper, we propose a new semi-parametric model to take advantage of both parametric and nonparametric functional modeling. As...
متن کاملNumerical Methods for Fuzzy Linear Partial Differential Equations under new Definition for Derivative
In this paper difference methods to solve "fuzzy partial differential equations" (FPDE) such as fuzzy hyperbolic and fuzzy parabolic equations are considered. The existence of the solution and stability of the method are examined in detail. Finally examples are presented to show that the Hausdorff distance between the exact solution and approximate solution tends to zero.
