چکیده
Despite raising animals mostly as scavengers in the guinea savannah zone of Ghana, there is still scanty scientific information on effects this system health these animals. A study was conducted to document factors influencing prevalence rate gastrointestinal (GIT) parasites and their loads 500 small ruminants (250 each sheep goats). Prevalence about 86% recorded ruminants. Sheep, however, had higher (P<0.05) overall GIT parasite burden than goats. In sheep, significantly more females harboured strongyles males. Similarly, tapeworm general, were prevalent younger older sheep. Strongyle population growers adults, while Eimeria spp populations lambs adults growers. Haemoparasites of small ruminants reduce their productivity and could lead to high mortality. Information on the prevalence of haemoparasites in small ruminants in Lafia, Guinea Savannah zone of Nigeria is scarce. Our study therefore aimed at determining the prevalence of haemoparasites of small ruminants in this area based on the parasite species, sex, age and breed. Seventy Two and 32 blood s...

BACKGROUND Helminth infections in small ruminants are serious problems in the developing world, particularly where nutrition and sanitation are poor. This study investigated the burden and risk factors of gastrointestinal nematode parasite infections in sheep and goats kept in smallholder mixed farms in the Kenyan Central Highlands. Three hundred and seven small ruminants were sampled from 66 s...

Hand Function Related to Age and Sex
Objectives: The purpose of this study was for evaluation of relationship between hand function and age, sex by Jebson Taylor Test. This study determined whether age might be a factor when associated with sex. Methods: In this study Jebson Taylor was evaluated on hand in 180 normal males and females (0.50% male, 0.50% female) in each of the following 7 subtest in 3 age groups: (15-25), (35-45)...
