GAMIFIED ACTIVITIES IN STUDENT’S LEARNING ENGAGEMENT IN AN ONLINE ENGLISH CLASS

This study was conducted to find out the efficacy of gamified activities as students? learning engagement in an online English class. It employed a descriptive design, and it participated by seventy (70) Grade 11 students under distance Laguna Senior High School. A survey questionnaire used main instrument obtaining pertinent information. determined status activity elements such enjoyable, educational, interactive, participative on motivation, interest, competence, behavior. also identified level student during classes whether this variable significantly affects student?s classes. aimed answer following questions, 1. What is elements? 2. classes? And 3. Is there significant effect using student's class senior high school? The results revealed that very high. findings exposed with regards interest while behavior were showed when comes elements, participative. However, terms variable, observed brings positive effects but lest no significance. Based result study, null hypothesis partially not sustained. Thus, still calls for acceptance alternative which incites recommends teachers utilize from design will suit needs time pandemic. School management may consider craft projects/activities address problems related decreasing attention span
