چکیده
Many engineering students might encounter difficulties understanding certain topics of related courses. They feel frustrated when the teaching method is dull, and materials are not attractive. All these may lead to demotivation toward Fortunately, there tons techniques that introduced help in boosting students' engagement classroom, such as inquiry-based learning, project-based service-based others. These require student's engagement, which eventually improves concentration while motivating them practice critical thinking skills. It promote positive learning experiences. However, courses comprised various complicated theories, calculations, projects, assignments, burden some students. Furthermore, addition COVID 19 pandemic, only attend their classes online, making process even more independent challenging. Therefore, this study aims explore gamification approach for increase online. A batch 116 from Bachelor’s Degree Engineering Electrical Electronics offered by Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) invited participate study. gamified model consists four stages created online platform second-year KNR2443 Technology (EET) course. This integrates students’ rank, interactive map, video guide. survey collected EET who completed model. The results generally indicate can potentially improve enjoyment process.

Background: Problem-based learning is a student-centered teaching method that encourages students to become active learners in the classroom and to improve the learning processes. The aim of this study was to compare two methods of teaching, problem- based learning (PBL) and lecture-based learning, in an embryology course. Methods: This was a semi-experimental study conducted in Kurdistan Uni...
متن کاملLearning Latent Engagement Patterns of Students in Online Courses
Maintaining and cultivating student engagement is critical for learning. Understanding factors affecting student engagement will help in designing better courses and improving student retention. The large number of participants in massive open online courses (MOOCs) and data collected from their interaction with the MOOC open up avenues for studying student engagement at scale. In this work, we...
متن کاملIncreasing Student Engagement in Software Engineering with Gamification
Gamification, or the use of game elements in non-game contexts, has become an increasingly popular approach to increasing end-user engagement in many contexts, including employee productivity, sales, recycling, and education. Our preliminary work has shown that gamification can be used to boost student engagement and learning in basic software testing. We seek to expand our gamified software en...
