Game form recognition in preference elicitation, cognitive abilities, and cognitive load

This study further examines the failure of game form recognition in preference elicitation (Cason and Plott, 2014) by making more cognitively demanding through a cognitive load manipulation. We hypothesized that if subjects misperceive one for another game, then depleting their resources, would misconceive more-cognitively task less-cognitively at higher rate. find no evidence suffer from first-price-auction game-form misconception, but once resources are depleted, subjects’ choices better explained random choice. More able immune to deviations sub-optimal play than lower subjects. Moreover, we support partial recognition. Our results robust integration risk preferences analysis.
