GA-based Optimization Method for Fiber Orientation Angle

چکیده

This study proposes a genetic algorithm (GA)-based optimization method for fiber orientation angle and examines its effectivity. Determining the optimal involves searching solution from multitudinous combinations, which makes it difficult to attain by simple GA. In addition, generally used principal stress design cannot give an when combined loads are applied. Therefore, is developed that does not directly treat as variable attains with lesser candidates than Herein, stiffness maximization formulated strain energy minimization problem, performed using proposed method, wherein of each element target FEM model treated variable. The resultant candidate (with flat plate B-pillar models under loads) optimized yields higher conventional counterparts. Thus, shown obtains better obtained GA methods.
