Fuzzy Hysteresis Current Controller for Power Quality Enhancement in Renewable Energy Integrated Clusters

Steady increase in electricity consumption, fossil fuel depletion, higher erection times of conventional plants, etc., are encouraging the use more and onsite renewable energy. However, due to dynamic changes environmental factors as well customer load, energy generation is facing issues with reliability quality supply. As a solution all these factors, integrated cluster microgrids being formed globally urban communities. their effectiveness generating power depends on electronic converters that used an integral part microgrids. Thus, this paper proposes “Fuzzy Hysteresis Current Controller (FHCC)-based Inverter” for improving operated either grid-connected or autonomous mode. Here, inverter controlled through fuzzy logic-based hysteresis current control loop, thereby achieving superior performance. System modelling simulations done using MATLAB/Simulink®. The performance analysis proposed configurations by computing various indices, namely voltage characteristics (swell, sag, imbalance), frequency (deviations), total harmonic distortion. results reveal FHCC-based achieves better than traditional ST-PWM-based multilevel terms IEEE/IEC/EN global standards application.
