Fused or Unfused? The Parable of ERP II

One of the major visions is having one system that covers all business functions and satisfies virtually standard processes routine transactions within organizations. In last decade, several academics practitioners have predicted rise what called enterprise resource planning systems II (ERP II). ERP was sought to be a digital platform capable supporting timely decision-making through covering functions’ preloaded modules will minimize need for external like separate customer relationship management (CRM), e-business platforms, supply chain (SCM) systems, among others. While nowadays matured, packages come with CRM other solutions, however are still widely adopted by Thus, this study investigates why organizations currently ERPs investing in systems. Our results show current did not reach state as envisioned, most inclined adopt we presented five main reasons inclination, which are: scoping during implementations, costs, features functionalities, user-friendliness ease use, finally integration platforms.
