Further Use of Spent Co-Based Macroporous Adsorbent for Low-Temperature Hydrodesulfurization

Spent cobalt-based macroporous adsorbents are considered to be used for the hydrotreating process. Herein, spent materials from low-temperature desulfurization process were as organic sulfur catalysts. Physicochemical properties of waste characterized and performance COS conversion was evaluated at different conditions. The Co-containing exhibit considerable hydrogenation low temperature, residual cobalt oxide in sulfided samples will absorb part hydrogen sulfide generate new active phase Co9S8. By further characterization, it can found that unstable Co-S bond on surface sample played a key role catalysis. Results indicated sulfidation degree With temperature increasing 150 ~ 250 °C, rate H2S selectivity increased. It is hoped this paper provide significant suggestions treatment future work.
