چکیده

Microbial contaminations represent an important issue for crop production, resulting in tons of losses worldwide every year. One the highest-risk pathogens involved these infections is Botrytis cinerea, which responsible grey mold disease. In this study, a biosurfactant extracted from corn steep liquor (CSL), agro-industrial residue corn-milling industry, was used combination with copper oxychloride (Cu-Oxy), copper-based pesticide, to evaluate their fungitoxic activity on B. cinerea cells. The results showed that mixture 2 g/L Cu-Oxy 16 extract CSL, named pesticide formulation (BS-P), helped reduction colony growth, decrease biomass and improvement bioaccumulation fungal mycelium comparison aqueous solutions commercial pure-copper-based fungicides. A factorial design conducted obtain best operational conditions enhancing by cells presence BS-P, maximum uptake 2122 µg Cu/g dry weight when using 1 combined 8 CSL at incubation temperature 15 °C. It also proved that, due absence extract, amount bio-adsorbed considerably decreased and, therefore, so its activity. These suggest studied could be eco-friendlier formulations, reducing environmental impact active principles.

Burkholderia phytofirmans PsJN Confers Grapevine Resistance against Botrytis cinerea via a Direct Antimicrobial Effect Combined with a Better Resource Mobilization

Plant innate immunity serves as a surveillance system by providing the first line of powerful weapons to fight against pathogen attacks. Beneficial microorganisms and Microbial-Associated Molecular Patterns might act as signals to trigger this immunity. Burkholderia phytofirmans PsJN, a highly efficient plant beneficial endophytic bacterium, promotes growth in a wide variety of plants including...

Spread of Botrytis cinerea Strains with Multiple Fungicide Resistance in German Horticulture

Botrytis cinerea is a major plant pathogen, causing gray mold rot in a variety of cultures. Repeated fungicide applications are common but have resulted in the development of fungal populations with resistance to one or more fungicides. In this study, we have monitored fungicide resistance frequencies and the occurrence of multiple resistance in Botrytis isolates from raspberries, strawberries,...

Fungicide Efficacy Against Botrytis cinerea at Different Positions on Grape Shoots

Fungicide efficacy at different positions on grape shoots was determined on vinelets inoculated with Botrytis cinerea. To ensure proper fungicide coverage, vinelets (table grape cultivar Dauphine, wine grape cultivar Merlot noir), prepared from cuttings, were sprayed in a spray chamber at the recommended dosages with iprodione, pyrimethanil, cyprodinillfludioxonil and fenhexamid. Vinelets for t...

Benefits and problems of fungicide control of Botrytis cinerea in vineyards of Champagne

There are several agrochemicals to control Botrytis cinerea, the causal agent for gray mold in grapes, and new ones are being developed. The fungicides used to control Botrytis in vineyards of the Champagne are presented together with some of their deleterious effects on non-target species. Until recently, fungicides basically belonged to three groups: the carbamates, the benzimidazoles, and th...
