چکیده
Eleven species (dried fruiting bodies) Fomitopsis pinicola, Cerrena unicolor, Piptoporus betulinus, Daedaleopsis tricolor, Stereum subtomentosum, Funalia trogii, Phellinus cinereus, Trametes versicolor, T. pubescens, gibbosa and Ganoderma applanatum were used to extract biologically active compounds (BACs) as crude fungal extracts (CFEs) in distilled water (diH2O) which was further studied evaluate their impact on the rate of seeds germination, biosynthesis photosynthetic pigments, biomass formation tomato seedlings length (Solanum lycopersicum, cv. Dubrava). The results showed that xylotrophic mushrooms are a source potential useful for agriculture.

Inedible mushrooms: a good source of biologically active substances.
In the course of our investigation on biologically active substances from inedible mushrooms in Japan, Germany, and Vietnam, we studied the chemical constituents of 22 species belonging to five families: Scutigeraceae, Polyporaceae, Xylariaceae, Thelephoraceae, and Paxillaceae. Various types of chemical substances were purified and characterized based on the modern spectroscopic methods and als...
متن کاملInfluence of Natural Sources of Biologically Active Substances on Livestock and Poultry Reproduction
Synthetic hormones and bioactive substances (vitamins, pigments and isoflavons) which have been used in the feed industry are accumulated in milk, meat and eggs. It is suspected that these are responsible for a number of side-effects such as carcinogenesis, liver and kidney damage, allergies in consumers. Furthermore the synthetic hormones, vitamins, pigments are less active than those extracte...
متن کاملBiologically active metabolites of Penicillium fungi
Penicillia are some of the most widespread hyphomycetes among microscopic fungi. Their natural habitats are soils of northern latitudes. They are known as producers of various types of biologically active compounds such as ergot alkaloids, diketopiperazines, quinolines, quinazolines and polyketides [1]. Penicillium fungi synthesize clavine ergot alkaloids whose structural specificity is that th...
متن کاملBiologically active substances from the genus Artemisia.
Artemisia species, widespread in nature, are frequently utilized for the treatment of diseases such as malaria, hepatitis, cancer, inflammation, and infections by fungi, bacteria, and viruses. Furthermore, some Artemisia constituents were found to be potential insecticides and allelopathic chemicals. This genus is receiving growing attention presumably due to: (i) the diversified biology and ch...
