چکیده
Rotten sweet potato root tuber samples were collected from a barn and experimental field of the CSIR - Plant Genetic Resources Research Institute (PGRRI), Bunso. Isolation identification fungi associated with carried out at Pathology Laboratory same institute. In all, six fungal species belonging to four genera, namely Fusarium solani, Sclerotium rolfsii, Lasiodiplodia theobromae, Aspergillus ochraceus, flavus niger isolated both PGRRI. solani frequently barn. Pathogenicity tests using isolates on fresh healthy tubers showed that all pathogenic in causing rot theobromae being most virulent.

متن کاملBrown Rot of Potato
Brown rot, also known as bacterial wilt, is one of the most destructive diseases of potato. The disease has been estimated to affect about 3.75 million acres in approximately 80 countries throughout the world with global damage estimates currently over $950 million per year. The disease is known to occur in the wet tropics, sub-tropics and some temperate regions of the world. In the United Stat...
متن کاملInduction mechanism of 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl-CoA reductase in potato tuber and sweet potato root tissues.
3-Hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl coenzyme A reductase (HMGR, EC1.1.1.34), the key enzyme in isoprenoid biosynthesis, was purified from microsomes of potato tuber tissue, and a polyclonal antibody and two monoclonal antibodies against the purified enzyme were prepared. HMGR protein content was measured by immunotitration and radioimmunoassay using these antibodies. HMGR activity was very low in the fr...
متن کاملPotato tuber tissue respiration & ventilation.
The purpose of this work is to compare gas movement through potato tuber tissue with the respiratory rate of such tissue and to assess possible oxygen deficiency as a factor in the limitation of respiration within the tissue. Argon 37 was used as a substitute for oxygen in most of the gas transfer experiments because it is easier to measure, its solubilities and diffusion coefficients are very ...
