Absorbing boundary conditions for electromagnetic wave propagation
In this paper, the theoretical perfectly absorbing boundary condition on the boundary of a half{space domain is developed for the Maxwell system by considering the system in whole instead of considering each component of the electromagnetic elds individually. This boundary condition allows any wave motion generated within the domain to pass through the boundary of the domain without generating ...
متن کاملEmerging technology for shielding of electromagnetic radiation using composite materials
This study indicated that multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs)-epoxy composites can be used as effective lightweight shielding materials. The measurement results showed that highest EMI SE of 23.4 dB at 8 GHz was obtained for nanocomposite with 1 wt% MWCNTs. Dielectric properties and electrical conductivity values were supplemented by microscopic studies.
متن کاملElectromagnetic Wave Absorbing Properties of Amorphous Carbon Nanotubes
Amorphous carbon nanotubes (ACNTs) with diameters in the range of 7-50 nm were used as absorber materials for electromagnetic waves. The electromagnetic wave absorbing composite films were prepared by a dip-coating method using a uniform mixture of rare earth lanthanum nitrate doped ACNTs and polyvinyl chloride (PVC). The microstructures of ACNTs and ACNT/PVC composites were characterized using...
متن کاملAnalysis of Reflectivity and Shielding Effectiveness of Absorbing Material–Conductor Laminate for Electromagnetic Compatibility
An absorbing material–conductor laminate is widely used for electromagnetic compatibility of electronic circuits at microwave frequencies. Such a laminate when properly designed will exhibit good results in terms of electromagnetic interference and compatibility. In this paper, microwave absorbing materials like 1) Ca-NiTi hexa ferrite composites (Ca (NiTi)x Fe12-2xO19) for x = 0.4, 2) M-Type B...
متن کاملFundamentals of Wave Propagation
In this chapter and Chapter 4, waves are considered in 3-D, in general. However, in some applications such as in integrated optics in which propagation of waves on a surface is often considered, 2-D waves are of interest. For example, see Chapter 19 on dense wavelength division multiplexing. Two-dimensional equations are simpler because one of the space variables, say, y is omitted from the equ...
