Fundamental thermal noise in antiresonant hollow-core fibers

چکیده
To understand the effect of fundamental thermal noise in hollow-core optical fibers, authors propose an adapted model and compare it to careful measurements. They find that use evacuated hollow cores could allow for order-of-magnitude improvement phase sensitivity with respect standard fiber, enabling better precision interferometric applications such as fiber gyroscopes laser frequency stabilization.
