Total hip arthroplasty is a surgical treatment that has been thoroughly documented. The capacity of Hip Replacement to treat pain associated with joint pathology while retaining mobility and stability the key its effectiveness. goal this study was use Modified Harris score radiological examination assess clinical functional outcomes total arthroplasty. carried out on 33 hips 30 patients operated in Department Orthopedics, Vinayaka missions medical College Hospital Hitec Hospital, Salem, from August 2012 September 2014. This retrospective as well prospective study. Patient follow up for minimum 6 weeks maximum 12 months (1yr). 9 underwent uncemented replacement which 5 acetabular cup fixed 2 screws each. During procedure 1 patient had Type A2 Vancouver fracture proximal femur SS wire cerclage united documented by X-rays. Postoperatively, two we came across dislocation due adductor contracture, reduced following tenotomy. Patients were found be doing normal daily activities follow-up. mean overall pre-operative 33.3, improved 94.2 after surgery. Dislocation seen individual patients. After THR, conducted population active individuals, 96.9% experienced excellent or good reduction function. When sufferers included, average 90 points, but five years follow-up 91 treated PCA prosthesis, 93 points.
