چکیده
We propose and experimentally demonstrate a high-efficiency single-pixel imaging (SPI) scheme by integrating time-correlated single-photon counting (TCSPC) with time-division multiplexing to acquire full-color images at an extremely low light level. This SPI uses digital micromirror device modulate sequence of laser pulses preset delays achieve three-color structured illumination, then employs photomultiplier tube into the TCSPC module photon-counting detection. By exploiting time-resolved capabilities TCSPC, we demodulate spectrum-image-encoded signals, reconstruct high-quality in single round measurement. Based on this scheme, strategies such as single-step measurement, high-speed projection, undersampling can further improve efficiency.

Single-pixel detectors can be used as imaging devices by making use of structured illumination. These systems work by correlating a changing incident light field with signals measured on a photodiode to derive an image of an object. In this work we demonstrate a system that utilizes a digital light projector to illuminate a scene with approximately 1300 different light patterns every second and...
متن کاملPhoton Counting Imaging with an Electron-Bombarded Pixel Image Sensor
Electron-bombarded pixel image sensors, where a single photoelectron is accelerated directly into a CCD or CMOS sensor, allow wide-field imaging at extremely low light levels as they are sensitive enough to detect single photons. This technology allows the detection of up to hundreds or thousands of photon events per frame, depending on the sensor size, and photon event centroiding can be emplo...
متن کاملOptimal fine ϕ-slicing for single-photon-counting pixel detectors
The data-collection parameters used in a macromolecular diffraction experiment have a strong impact on data quality. A careful choice of parameters leads to better data and can make the difference between success and failure in phasing attempts, and will also result in a more accurate atomic model. The selection of parameters has to account for the application of the data in various phasing met...
متن کاملCharacterisation of a single photon counting pixel system for imaging of low-contrast objects
In the framework of the Medipix1 collaboration the PCC, a single photon counting pixel chip, has been developed with the aim of improving the contrast resolution in medical imaging applications. The PCC consists of a matrix of 64]64 square pixels with 170lm side length, each pixel comprising a 15-bit counter and a pulse-height discriminator. The chip has been bump bonded to equally segmented 20...
متن کاملNeural Imaging Using Single-Photon Avalanche Diodes
Introduction: This paper analyses the ability of single-photon avalanche diodes (SPADs) for neural imaging. The current trend in the production of SPADs moves toward the minimumdark count rate (DCR) and maximum photon detection probability (PDP). Moreover, the jitter response which is the main measurement characteristic for the timing uncertainty is progressing. Methods: The neural imaging pro...
