New Fuji BAS 2000 scanner
Bill Miller S phosphors (image plates) have replaced film as the detection medium of choice for accurate collection of diffraction data on high flux beam lines such as A1 and F1. Storage phosphors have good spatial resolution, digitizing an 8" x 10" area into approximately 2000 x 2500 100x100 micron2 pixels. They also have a very high dynamic range of 104, and do not suffer from count rate limi...

BMJ Case Rep Published online: [please include Day Month Year] doi:10.1136/ bcr-2013-009091 DESCRIPTION An 88-year-old man was admitted to the emergency department with a head injury because of a fall. He had a loss of consciousness. Bilateral subdural haematoma and fracture of the left parietal bone were shown on the CT imaging. The left subdural...
متن کاملSterilization of Fuji pressure-sensitive film.
Fuji Prescale film is a pressure-sensitive medium which produces a characteristic pink stain on the application of pressure. Up to a saturation level, increases in pressure will produce a denser stain, thereby providing a method of determining pressures within the interface between two articulating surfaces. The relationship between the magnitude of applied pressure and the optical density of t...
متن کاملTension Pneumocephalus with Mount Fuji Sign
The 81-year-old male presented with progressive headache and was diagnosed as bilateral chronic subdural hemorrhage (SDH). He has history of hypertension, coronary artery disease and hyperlipidemia. Burr-hole craniostomy for removal of SDH was performed. However, deteriorated consciousness and seizure happened after removal of bilateral external ventricular drainage (EVD) on postoperative Day 3...
متن کاملMount Fuji sign in tension pneumocephalus.
The Mount Fuji sign is seen in bilateral subdural hypertensive pneumocephalus. These air collections cause compression of the frontal lobes, which take a shape similar to the silhouette of Mount Fuji. It is most commonly seen after surgical decompression of a chronic subdural hematoma. However, it may also be observed following head trauma, otogenic infections, nitrous oxide anesthesia and diving.
