Frustrated Kondo impurity triangle: A simple model of deconfinement

The concepts of deconfinement and topological order are great current interest for quantum information science our understanding materials. Here, we introduce a simple model three antiferromagnetically coupled Kondo impurities, triangle, which can be used to further extend the application these electronic systems. We show that, by tuning magnetic frustration, triangle undergoes phase transition between two phases unbroken symmetry, signaling beyond Landau paradigm. demonstrate that frustrated spin liquid is described three-channel (3CK) fixed point thus displays an irrational ground state degeneracy. Using Abrikosov pseudofermion representation, this categorized emergent U(1) gauge field its projective symmetry group. theory deconfining in sense miniature Wilson loop orders defects (instantons field) expelled. This persists presence moderate screening until proliferation leads unfrustrated Fermi phase. Based on evidence, propose 3CK similar as gapless liquids.
