Fruit Peel Soil Supplementation Induces Physiological and Biochemical Tolerance in Schefflera arboricola L. Grown Under Heat Conditions

چکیده
Abstract Schefflera plant is propagated and grown under greenhouse cultivation, most of these greenhouses are low-cost. In the summer, heat generated in becomes a limiting factor for growth and, subsequently, limits production high-quality species conditions. The powder banana (B), orange (O), pomegranate (P) peels their combinations were added as soil supplementation at rates 8 16 g/pot to pots plants, which during summer season low-cost greenhouse. analysis was estimated after 150 180 days from planting. Heat conditions significantly inhibited relative rate, crop absolute rate (AGR) but fruit peel applications shown markedly mitigate its negative impact. Fruit augmented shoot root leaf pigments, decreased AGR reduction, promoted water content, increased membrane stability index (MSI), alternated phenotypic plasticity (PPI). total phenol flavonoid levels well antioxidant activity (DPPH), positively alleviated oxidative damage (decreased H 2 O MDA contents) that occurred leaves, induced heat-shock protein synthesis, leading plants with greater tolerance. Orange application potting more beneficial initiation development early phases life, effective increasing aerial portions inducing resistance polyethylene greenhouses.

Physiological basis of drought tolerance in potato grown under long-term water deficiency
Coping with water shortages without compromising tuber yield is a majorchallenge for potato (Solanum tuberosum L.) production in northern China. In thisstudy, we used three potato cultivars with different sensitivities to drought toevaluate the effect of long-term drought stress on morphological and physiologicalcharacteristics under field conditions during three growing seasons (2009-2011).Our...

DREB transcription factors are one of the largest families of transcription factors in plants that are believed to play important regulatory functions in tolerance to environmental stress, but there is no complete information on their role in controlling the morphological and antioxidant properties of developed plants under normal conditions. In this study, some phenotypic characteristics of th...
متن کاملPhysiological assessment of drought tolerance in wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) varieties under moisture stress conditions
Drought is one of the major limiting factors in wheat production in Pakistan. Five commercial wheat varieties; Chakwal-97, Inqilab-91, Margalla-99, NR-234 and Wafaq2001 were grown in pots in glasshouse. Plants were subjected to three consecutive drought cycles at tillering, pre-anthesis and milky growth stages by withholding water till leaf rolling started. Measurements of physiological respons...
متن کاملBiochar impact on physiological and biochemical attributes of Spinach (Spinacia oleracea L.) in nickel contaminated soil
Disastrous effect of nickel on spinach was discussed by number of authors but the effect of amendments like biochar with nickel on Spinacea oleraceaL. is not still discussed by any author of the world because biochar was used as soil amendments which play a vital role in reducing mobilization and uptake of nickel by spinach plants. As nickel contaminated plants are very harmful for th...
