Fruit and Restaurant Waste Polysaccharides Recycling Producing Xylooligosaccharides

A significant part of fruit production is wasted annually, a material high value without use, causing environmental and social damage. These residues from agro-industrial processes, or those that can no longer be used in the market, recycled generate value-added products by pretreatments/hydrolysis. One important pretreatments acid hydrolysis, which produce xylooligosaccharides (XOS) biomass, product great commercial food pharmaceutical markets, mainly due to its prebiotic potential. Bananas, oranges, guava large volume waste represent much Brazil’s production. The dilute hydrolysis resulted XOS 37.69% for banana peel, 59.60% bagasse, 28.70% orange 49.64% restaurant residue. were quantified liquid chromatograph system with Bio-Rad Aminex HPX-87C column. results show that, this type ideal conditions are temperature, low time, concentration peel residue (160 °C, 15 min, 3% H2SO4), bagasse (100 °C,15 min temperature time H2SO4) 55 H2SO4). This study identified maximized amount xylose using residues, also showing potential chosen through yields
