چکیده
Pt-group metal (PGM) electrocatalysts with unique electronic structures and irreplaceable comprehensive properties play crucial roles in electrocatalysis. Anion engineering can create a series of PGM compounds (such as RuP2, IrP2, PtP2, RuB2, Ru2B3, RuS2, etc.) that provide promising prospect for improving the electrocatalytic performance use noble metals. This review seeks electrochemical activity origin anion-modulated compounds, systematically analyzes summarizes their synthetic strategies energy-relevant applications For more information, see Mini Review on p. 12257 ff.

Modified nanocarbon surfaces for high performance supercapacitor and electrocatalysis applications.
An efficient and easy method is described which allows modification of supported nanocarbon films with carbon nanotubes (CNTs) from an aqueous colloidal suspension. Subsequently CNTs can be decorated with Pt-nanoparticles directly from an aqueous solution of Pt ions without the need for reducing agents. High performance supercapacitors and electrocatalysts are obtained.
متن کاملMetals for Biomedical Applications
In modern history, metals have been used as implants since more than 100 years ago when Lane first introduced metal plate for bone fracture fixation in 1895 (Lane, 1895). In the early development, metal implants faced corrosion and insufficient strength problems (Lambotte, 1909, Sherman, 1912). Shortly after the introduction of the 18-8 stainless steel in 1920s, which has had far-superior corro...
متن کاملAtomistic modelling of metals: Introduction and Applications
Atomistic simulation can provide kinetic and dynamical insight into the fundamental component processes underlying both mass-transport and plasticity within a solid. To directly extrapolate atomistic simulation results to the experimental time-scale is however difficult and remains a general challenge to the atomistic modelling community. This is particularly the case when performing simulation...
