چکیده

Aim: Frequent premature ventricular contractions (PVCs) can cause impaired function or dilatation of cavities. The frontal plane QRS-T [f(QRS-T)] angle is an indicator instability in the electrophysiological properties myocardium and associated with arrhythmias. present study aimed to investigate whether f(QRS-T) angle, as a marker repolarization heterogeneity, predicts contraction burden ambulatory 24-hour Holter. Methods: included 100 patients. patients were divided into two groups ‘frequent PVC’ ‘seldom according their PVC Holter monitoring. Laboratory some electrocardiography parameters, including compared between groups. Results: Frontal (63.34±37.86° vs 23.46±14.29° p<0.001) was found be wider group. F(QRS-T) ≥ 34° had sensitivity 82.2% specificity 80% indicating load (AUC: 0.887 (0.824-0.950). In addition, positive correlation (r:0.429 p<0.001).Conclusion: widening could perhaps considered surrogate increased Measuring 12-lead ECG may warning sign for burden.

Spatial/Frontal QRS-T Angle Predicts All-Cause Mortality and Cardiac Mortality: A Meta-Analysis

BACKGROUND A number of studies have assessed the predictive effect of QRS-T angles in various populations since the last decade. The objective of this meta-analysis was to evaluate the prognostic value of spatial/frontal QRS-T angle on all-cause death and cardiac death. METHODS PubMed, EMBASE, and the Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials were searched from their inception until June...

Temporal changes in electrocardiographic frontal QRS-T angle and survival in patients with heart failure

BACKGROUND Heart failure (HF) is associated with considerable mortality. The electrocardiographic frontal QRS-T angle is a simple parameter to measure, reflects changes in the direction of the repolarization sequence and predicts outcome in patients with HF. Data regarding temporal changes in the frontal QRS-T angle in patients with HF and its impact on outcome is limited. AIM To evaluate tem...

SAAT: Reverse Engineering for Performance Analysis

It is essential to understand both the static and dynamic aspects of existing software for performance analysis. Software reverse engineering reestablishes the structure and behavior of software and helps with that understanding. Researchers in reverse engineering, however, have focused on identifying components and on static relationships. Efforts on performance engineering are being made to r...

Clinical value of different QRS-T angle expressions.

Aims Increased spatial angle between QRS complex and T wave loop orientations has repeatedly been shown to predict cardiac risk. However, there is no consensus on the methods for the calculation of the angle. This study compared the reproducibility and predictive power of three most common ways of QRS-T angle assessment. Methods and results Electrocardiograms of 352 healthy subjects, 941 surv...

The Spatial QRS-T Angle: Implications in Clinical Practice

The ventricular gradient (VG) as a concept was conceived in the 1930s and its calculation yielded information that was not otherwise obtainable. The VG was not utilized by clinicians at large because it was not easy to understand and its computation time-consuming. The contemporary spatial QRS-T angle is based on the concept of the VG and defined as its mathematical and physiological integral. ...
