چکیده
The Front Cover shows the Multivalent Antibody-Recruiting Glycopolymers (MARGs) prepared by grafting multiple copies of dinitrophenol (DNP, pink) onto hyaluronan acid polymers (HA, cyan) for cancer immunotherapy. MARGs are able to recognize CD44 marker on cell surface and concomitantly recruit endogenous anti-DNP antibodies kill cells through immune effector functions in vitro vivo. designed constructs represent an excellent example using natural glycopolymers as a multivalent scaffold translate multivalency power into improved tumor-killing capability. design Dr. Jie Shi. Genetically Engineered Multivalent Proteins for Targeted Immunotherapy.
mAbs initiated the unprecedented breakthroughs in cancer immunotherapy and are rapidly evolving with multiple therapeutic platforms. One next-generation strategy engineers multivalent proteins that ligate single-chain variable fragments targeting cellular effectors, tumor-associated antigens, and cytokines. These developing therapeutics target and regulate cellular effector bioactivity and sign...
متن کاملTargeted cancer immunotherapy
Under physiological conditions, the trans-presentation of interleukin-15 (IL-15) by the IL-15 receptor α on the cell surface allows to confine and tune the IL-15-mediated immune responses. Therefore, targeting strategies that mimic this situation at the tumor sites appear especially promising for anticancer immunotherapy.
متن کاملImmunotherapy for Breast Cancer Treatment
Breast cancer, as a heterogeneous disease, includes a wide range of pathological and clinical behaviors. Current treatment protocols, including radiotherapy, chemotherapy, and hormone replacement therapy, are mainly associated with poor response and high rate of recurrence. Therefore, more efforts are needed to develop alternative therapies for this type of cancer. Immunotherapy, as a novel str...
متن کاملSystemic Targeted Alpha Radiotherapy for Cancer
Background: The fundamental principles of internal targeted alpha therapy for cancer were established many decades ago.The high linear energy transfer (LET) of alpha radiation to the targeted cancer cellscauses double strand breaks in DNA. At the same time, the short range radiation spares adjacent normal tissues. This targeted approach complements conventional external beam radiotherapy and ch...
