Frequency Synchronization in Frequency Domain OFDM-IM based WLAN Systems

The next-generation of wireless local area network systems are being conceptualized with new applications, smart devices and use cases which mandate unprecedented levels high data rates, spectral efficiency, reliability, low latency energy efficiency. index modulated orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM-IM) stands out as the most endearing candidate for physical layer modulation technique provides a smooth transit to green communications. However, OFDM-IM multicarrier similar classical OFDM is also very sensitive synchronization errors needs be addressed on priority. In this article, novel algorithm proposed estimates corrects carrier offset at receiver algorithm's performance compared two domain variants under same channel conditions simulation results show that our not only capable meeting standard requirement +/-20ppm but can handle higher offsets till +/-30ppm.
