Frequency Response Estimation for Multiple Aircraft Control Loops Using Orthogonal Phase-Optimized Multisine Inputs

The latest advances made at NASA for simultaneous excitation in multiple axes and the identification of frequency responses aircraft flight systems are discussed this paper. These techniques extended prospect identifying dynamics control loops axes. Recent applications with test data simulation also presented, along a discussion practical aspects approach. A demonstration is provided, using model X-59 airplane which bare-airframe, closed-loop, broken-loop (both actuator sensor) were identified from single 60 s maneuver. results indicate that approach can significantly shorten duration tests Monte Carlo simulations to save time costs, produce real time.
