Frequency of Urological Injuries in Obstetrical and Gynaecological Surgery at Tertiary Care Hospital

Introduction: Due to the anatomical proximity of urogenital organs, reproductive and obstetrical procedures have been intrinsically linked urological damage. The connection genital urine tracts anatomically during embryologic development makes urinary system particularly vulnerable damage surgical in female. Urinary bladder ureter injuries are a common post-gynecological or surgery complication. Objectives: To determine frequency gynaecological surgery. Materials & Methods: A total 142 women who undergoing obstetric gynecologic surgeries, 25 55 years age were included. Patients having injury from other than surgeries excluded. In this study all patients included fulfilling inclusion criteria (cessarean section) gynaecologic (laprotomies hysterectomies) enrolled after taking written informed consent. Risk factors for assessed terms indication (risk surgery), site ureteric injury, location was noticed. Results: Age range with mean 40.20 ± 6.92 years. Majority 77 (54.23%) between 41 age. Mean duration 62.16 14.52 minutes. time interval 37.51 13.89 hours. study, ureteral mixed found 20 (14.08%), 14 (9.86%) 07 (4.93%) patients.
