Frequency of pyrexia among women presenting with premature rupture of membranes

Background: Premature rupture of membranes (PROM) is defined as the fetal before onset labor. PROM complicates 8 – 10% pregnancies, contributing to maternal and perinatel mortality morbidity. Maternal pyrexia a sign observed in women with indicating intrauterine infection. Objective: To determine frequency among presenting premature membranes. Material And Methods: Department Obstetrics Gynecology, Khyber Teaching Hospital, Peshawar. It was Descriptive (cross-sectional) study conducted from Jan 13, 2O16 July 12, 2016. Sample size 369, keeping 4% proportion PROM, 95% confidence interval 2% margin error under WHO sample calculation. Sampling Technique non-probability consecutive sampling Results: In this study, 369 were observed. Average age 29.53+6.3SD. The 10.57 %. Conclusion: after more common older women.
