Frequency of Post-Operative Fecal Incontinence and Healing Rate in Patients with Open and Closed Lateral Internal Anal Sphincterotomy

OBJECTIVES This study aims to compare the frequency of fecal incontinence and healing rate in patients treated with Open Internal Anal Sphincterotomy (OIAS) Closed Lateral (CLIAS). METHODOLOGY randomized control trial was carried out Department Surgery Hayatabad Medical Complex, Peshawar Pakistan from Feb 2019 2020. Eighty-four were assigned open method Group B while eighty-four allocated closed A (using blade 11) through method. Fecal observed on 7 th postoperative day. SPSS 23.0 software used analyse data. RESULTS In group a total 84 patients, 96% category A, 4% B, no categories C D.
