Frequency of Metabolic syndrome in Patients with Shoulder Pain

Objectives: Shoulder pain is a common cause of disability. There are few studies in the literature linking Metabolic Syndrome (MetS) with shoulder and pathologies. This study aims to determine frequency metabolic syndrome patients pain; whether there was difference between two groups terms severity characteristics pain. 
 Methods: In this prospective cross-sectional study, target population consisted subjects aged 18 years or older applying outpatient clinic Detailed examinations were performed. Waist-to-hip ratio body mass index calculated. Blood pressures measured. Fasting blood glucose lipids level recorded. A Visual Analogue Scale for current applied. Results: MetS diagnosed 44 104 patients. The most problems MetS; partial tear rotator cuff muscles, frozen shoulder, supraspinatus tendinitis 5 (55.6%), 16 (32.3%), 10 (51.6%) patients, respectively. ROM limitation found be statistically significantly higher internal external rotation passive abduction movements. VAS scores Mets. While active movement at rest significant, score night not significant. Conclusion: We concluded that clear relationship MetS. Awareness such association may allow early diagnosis MS institution measures avoid its results.
