Frequency of Hyperandrogenism in Young Women with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome

Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is the communal disorder of endocrinology in females reproductive age. Objective: The purpose study was to govern incidence hyperandrogenism young with polycystic ovarian syndrome. Methods: Total 93 women age 20 35 years any parity and diagnosed patients PCOS were included. All assessed biochemically. Serum testosterone sex hormone binding globulin analysis done randomly at phase menstrual cycle. Participants followed OPD. Free androgen index calculated. Score more than 5 labeled as Hyperandrogenemia. Data analyzed using SPSS version 21.0. Results: mean 27.22±4.58 years, range 15(20–35) years. Age 46(49.5%) ≤27 47(50.5%) >27 41 married 52 unmarried. 1.41±0.94 4(0–4). Results free score (FAI) showed that overall FAI 7.80±5.82 32.60(0.80–33.40). 60 found hyperandrogenism. Among these 26.93±4.68 Ages 32(53.3%) participants it observed 18 nulliparous, 3 had 1-2 parity, 2 2. Chi square results for association no significant age, marital status, p>0.05. Conclusion: Hyperandrogenism an important feature PCOS. It mainly comes from ovaries best indicator levels.
