Frequency of Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease in Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease Patients

Background: About 20% to 30% of the general population, especially in individuals with old age, suffers from gastroesophageal reflux disease. Association between disease and chronic obstructive pulmonary has been reported numerous studies. Objective: To find out frequency patients Methodology: This cross-sectional study was carried at department Pulmonology, Fatima Jinnah Institute Chest Diseases Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayyed Al Nahyan Medical Complex Quetta December 2021 May 2022. The inclusion criteria for our were all either gender age range 18 60 years diagnosed COPD any severity level. A proforma developed solely this research used record data. All collected data analyzed by using SPSS version 23. Results: In study, totally 180 enrolled. There 120 (66.67%) male participants (33.33%) female study. overall gastro-esophageal 93 (51.67%). mild, moderate severe very 4 (44.44%), 39 (48.15%), 38 (52.78%) 12 (66.66%) respectively.
