چکیده
We report absolute transition frequencies for the allowed transitions from X2?3/2, v? = 0, J? 3/2 rovibronic ground state of 32S1H to A2?+, v? 0 vibronic state. The have been determined with an uncertainty less than 1 MHz, representing a more 1000-fold improvement over previous measurements. Spectral traces are measured by scanning frequency comb stabilized continuous-wave spectroscopy laser molecular and detecting laser-induced fluorescence SH molecules in highly collimated beam. To determine frequencies, fit quantum-mechanical model that accounts saturation effects shifts due quantum interference. also provides estimates predissociation rate excited-state levels. Weighted averages hyperfine-resolved computed order enable comparisons measurements where hyperfine structure is not resolved. These hyperfine-averaged indicate were about ?2.1 GHz (0.07 cm?1) too high. Finally, using effective Hamiltonian model, resulting precise spectroscopic constants.

Frequency-comb-referenced molecular spectroscopy in the mid-infrared region.
A simple method for absolute-frequency measurements of molecular transitions in the mid-IR region is reported. The method is based on a cw singly resonant optical parametric oscillator (SRO), which is tunable from 3.2 to 3.45 μm. The mid-IR frequency of the SRO is referenced to an optical frequency comb through its pump and signal beams. Sub-Doppler spectroscopy and absolute-frequency measureme...

We report on a tunable continuous-wave mid-infrared optical parametric oscillator (OPO), which is locked to a fully stabilized near-infrared optical frequency comb using a frequency doubling scheme. The OPO is used for 40 GHz mode-hop-free, frequency-comb-locked scans in the wavelength region between 2.7 and 3.4 μm. We demonstrate the applicability of the method to high-precision cavity-ring-do...

The femtosecond laser-based frequency comb has played a key role in high-precision optical frequency metrology for a decade. Although often referred to as a precise optical frequency ruler, its tick marks are in fact too densely spaced for direct observation and individual use, limiting important applications in spectroscopy, astronomy, and ultrafast electromagnetic waveform control. We report ...

Optical frequency combs offer enormous potential in the detection and control of atoms and molecules by combining their vast spectral coverage with the extremely high spectral resolution of each individual comb component. Sensitive and multiplexed trace gas detection via cavity-enhanced direct frequency comb spectroscopy has been demonstrated for various molecules and applications; however, pre...

We propose a new tunable laser source concept for multiple-wavelength interferometry, offering an unprecedented large choice of synthetic wavelengths with a relative uncertainty better than 10(-11) in vacuum. Two lasers are frequency stabilized over a wide range of frequency intervals defined by the frequency comb generated by a mode-locked fiber laser. In addition, we present experimental resu...
