چکیده
Objectives: To compute the frequency and pattern of infraorbital nerve deterioration (Anesthesia, Paresthesia, Dysesthesia Hypoesthesia) presenting with zygomaticomaxillary complex fractures presented to Hayatabad Medical Complex. Methods materials: The study was conducted in Department Oral Maxillofacial Surgery, MTI-HMC, Peshawar, lasted six months, from June 4, 2018 December 2019. A thorough medical history, clinical examination, neurosensory tests such as static two-point distinction, brush stroke directional test, contact detection, pin prick nociception, thermal discrimination were all performed, along necessary radiographs occipitomental view, submentovertex computed tomography scans. Results: Out total 126 patients, 42(33.33%) patients recorded dysfunction 3 age groups, 30 15-30 year group, 60 group 31-45 36 46-65 , out which 7 female gender. Conclusion: Every patient a ZMC fracture should be clinically assessed on dot for dysfunction, can cause unpleasant feelings face, upper lip, lateral skin nose, anterior gingiva, lower eyelid.

Infraorbital nerve transpositioning into orbital floor: a modified technique to minimize nerve injury following zygomaticomaxillary complex fractures
OBJECTIVES Transpositioning of the inferior alveolar nerve to prevent injury in lower jaw has been advocated for orthognathic, pre-prosthetic and for implant placement procedures. However, the concept of infra-orbital nerve repositioning in cases of mid-face fractures remains unexplored. The infraorbital nerve may be involved in trauma to the zygomatic complex which often results in sensory dis...

Neurosensory changes in the infraorbital nerve following zygomatic fractures.
OBJECTIVE To document the neurosensory changes in the infraorbital nerve following zygomatic fractures managed in various ways. STUDY DESIGN Twenty-five patients were included in the study. Neurosensory function was assessed with calibrated nylon monofilaments, electrical stimulation, heat detection thresholds and response to pin prick in the infraorbital, supraorbital, and mental nerve regio...
