Fragmented fiber pollution from common textile materials and structures during laundry

چکیده
The fiber damage during manufacture, use, and service of textiles leads to fragmented generation. All (natural, regenerated, synthetic polymer sources) release fragments. Several textile structural parameters have been studied in association with release; however, there is a paucity work on the effect different types yarn structures release. This study elucidates impact key (rudimentary elements textiles) laundry. Five bespoke samples from three primary (flat filament, textured staple yarn) two most employed fibers (polyethylene terephthalate cotton) were subjected repeated simulated washing processes quantify shed length distribution collected fiber. results show that structure impacts quantity profile. decreases fabrics filament yarns, except for flat yarns. mean all increases laundering. per gram textile, profile woven made five yarns after first fifth cycles estimated.

Finite Element Simulation of Textile Materials at the Fiber Scale
A general approach to simulate the mechanical behavior of textile materials by taking into account all their constitutive elementary fibers and contacts between them is presented in this paper. A finite element code, based on an implicit solver, is develop to model samples of woven fabrics as assemblies of beams submitted to large displacements and developing contact-friction interactions betwe...
متن کاملFragmented Random Structures
Computers with hard-disk storage and networks with dynamic spectrum access illustrate resources that allow fragmented items – in these examples, items are files and spectra, respectively. In our discrete model of such systems, the resource is a sequence of slots. There is a queue of items awaiting allocations of the resource; the queue is served in FIFO order. Specified for each item are the nu...
متن کاملIn Vitro Evaluation and Mechanism Analysis of the Fiber Shedding Property of Textile Pile Debridement Materials
Fiber shedding is a critical problem in biomedical textile debridement materials, which leads to infection and impairs wound healing. In this work, single fiber pull-out test was proposed as an in vitro evaluation for the fiber shedding property of a textile pile debridement material. Samples with different structural design (pile densities, numbers of ground yarns and coating times) were prepa...
متن کاملRadiation Effects in Textile Materials
Irradiation processes have several commercial applications, in the coating of metals, plastics, and glass, in printing, wood finishing, film and plastic cross-linking, and in the fields of adhesive and electrical insulations. The advantages of this technology are well known. Radiation treatment on fabric and garments can add value in coloration, antifelting, printing, and coating. In this chapt...
متن کاملHpan Textile Fiber Wastes for Removal of Dyes from Industrial Textile Effluents
The paper presents our new results about efficiency of wastes based on hydrolyzed polyacrylonitrile textile fibers (HPAN) as sorbents in removal of some dyes from textile effluents. The effect of some experimental variables such as initial dye concentration, sorbent mass, pH, temperature, and contact time were investigated. The sorbent dye sorption systems are described using Freundlich, Langmu...
