چکیده
We investigate the topological phases of two one-dimensional (1D) interacting superconducting wires and propose markers directly measurable from ground state correlation functions. These quantities remain powerful tools in presence couplings interactions. show with density matrix renormalization group that double critical Ising (DCI) phase discovered [1] is a fractional gapless Majorana modes bulk, one-half invariant per wire. Scattering matrix formulation of the topological index of interacting fermions in one-dimensional superconductors.
We construct a scattering matrix formulation for the topological classification of one-dimensional superconductors with effective time-reversal symmetry in the presence of interactions. For an isolated system, Fidkowski and Kitaev have shown that such systems have a Z_{8} topological classification. We here show that these systems have a unitary scattering matrix at zero temperature when weakly...
متن کاملDimensional crossover in quasi-one-dimensional and high-Tc superconductors
The one-dimensional electron gas exhibits spin-charge separation and power-law spectral responses to many experimentally relevant probes. Ordering in a quasi-one-dimensional system is necessarily associated with a dimensional crossover, at which sharp quasiparticle peaks, with small spectral weight, emerge from the incoherent background. Using methods of Abelian bosonization, we derive asymptot...
متن کاملCalculation of Quasi-one-dimensional Interacting Electron Gas Using the Hartree-Fock Method
In this paper, the Hartree-Fock method has been formulated to investigate some of the ground state properties of quasi-one-dimensional interacting electron gas in the presence of the magnetic field. The bare coulomb interaction between electrons has been assumed. For this system, we have also computed some of its thermodynamic and magnetic properties such as the energy, pressure, incompressibil...
متن کاملLarkin-Ovchinnikov-Fulde-Ferrell state in quasi-one-dimensional superconductors.
The properties of a quasi-one-dimensional (quasi-1D) superconductor with an open Fermi surface are expected to be unusual in a magnetic field. On the one hand, the quasi-1D structure of the Fermi surface strongly favors the formation of a non-uniform state (Larkin-Ovchinnikov-Fulde-Ferrell (LOFF) state) in the presence of a magnetic field acting on the electron spins. On the other hand, a magne...
