چکیده
Background: Breast cancer (BC) is a heterogeneous disease that can be classified into many subtypes according to histopathological and molecular characteristics. Forkhead box protein A1 (FOXA1) transcriptional pioneer factor opens chromatin allowing estrogen receptor (α-ER) access its genomic targets. FOXA1 expression related luminal BC with good prognosis. Objectives: The present study sought determine the in Iraqi women ER+ BC. Methods: Forty-eight fresh malignant breast tissues were analyzed by immunohistochemistry assay choose samples, then RT-qPCR evaluate gene expression. Results: ER-positive samples (72.91%) of total subtype A was most common percentage 56.25%. It also noted high highly significant (p<0.05) when compared healthy controls. Conclusions: Highly found makes it eligible predictor or biomarker for

FOXA1 overexpression mediates endocrine resistance by altering the ER transcriptome and IL-8 expression in ER-positive breast cancer.
Forkhead box protein A1 (FOXA1) is a pioneer factor of estrogen receptor α (ER)-chromatin binding and function, yet its aberration in endocrine-resistant (Endo-R) breast cancer is unknown. Here, we report preclinical evidence for a role of FOXA1 in Endo-R breast cancer as well as evidence for its clinical significance. FOXA1 is gene-amplified and/or overexpressed in Endo-R derivatives of severa...
متن کاملMatrix Metalloproteinases MMP2 and MMP9 Expression in Stages II-III Breast Cancer in Iraqi Women
Breast cancer is the most common invasive cancer in women worldwide. Metalloproteinases MMP2 and MMP9 participate in tumor invasion and metastasis by degrading extracellular matrix. In this study, we investigated the expression of MMP2 and MMP9 in breast tissues of Iraqi women with stage II and III breast cancer. The correlation between the expression levels of MMP2 and MMP9 in stage II-III bre...
متن کاملA transcriptional complex composed of ER(α), GATA3, FOXA1 and ELL3 regulates IL-20 expression in breast cancer cells
Interleukin-20 (IL-20) is a member of the IL-10 family. IL-20 expression is regulated by a transcription elongation factor, Ell3, in estrogen receptor-positive (ER(+)) breast cancer cells. In this study, we demonstrated that ER(α), GATA3 and FOXA1 form a transcriptional complex with Ell3 to regulate IL-20 expression in ER(+) breast cancer cells. We also determined that GATA3 and FOXA1 share a b...
متن کاملEstrogens Correlate with PELP1 Expression in ER Positive Breast Cancer
The Proline-, glutamic acid- and leucine-rich protein 1 (PELP1) is an estrogen receptor (ER) coactivator and a proto-oncogene known to be deregulated in endocrine cancers. In breast cancer, PELP1 overexpression has been associated with endocrine therapy resistance. Although PELP1 is known to be regulated by estrogens in vitro, its association with estrogen levels within the tissue of breast can...
متن کاملBreast Cancer Among Iraqi Women: Preliminary Findings From a Regional Comparative Breast Cancer Research Project
Breast cancer is the most frequent malignancy among women worldwide, accounting for 25% of all cancers, with an estimated 1.57 million new cases in 2012. It is also the leading cause of female cancer-related deaths. Although substantial improvement in survival from this disease has been reported in high-resource countries, the risk continues to increase, yielding highmortality rates inmiddleand...
