Fourth Grade Primary School Students’ Critical Writing Skill Levels

چکیده

In this study, it was aimed to determine the critical writing skill levels of fourth grade Primary School students. This study is a quantitative research and designed in scanning pattern. The group consists 175 students attending three different Schools, which were determined by purposive sampling method, taking into account their gender socioeconomic status. data obtained as result evaluation writings written with using rubric. presented descriptive statistics (frequency, min. max. values, arithmetic mean, standard deviation) help statistical program, analyzed independent samples t-test one-way analysis variance (ANOVA). As research, that students’ scores on skills generally at low level. general, are insufficient dimensions planning, presenting evidence persuading, questioning, multidimensional thinking writing; fluency clarity shape/form found be sufficient. addition, student achievements differed significantly according level (in favor high level) female students).
