چکیده
Tamarillo (Solanum betaceum Cav.) is a plant that spread in Java, Bali and North Sumatra, which rich nutrients contain flavonoid as antioxidants can prevent cell damage due to oxidative stress. Clay-based face masks have firming cleansing effect on the skin. was extracted by maceration method using 96% ethanol extract, phytochemical screening carried out. Clay mask formulation with extract concentration of 1.5%, 2%, 2.5% blanks. Physical quality test clay preparations included homogeneity test, stability pH dry time irritation effectiveness preparation volunteers Skin Analyzer Checkher (Aram), preference antioxidant DPPH method. The results showed tamarillo contained alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins could be formulated into homogeneous, stable, met requirements, dried time. checkher skin analyzer give reducing blemishes, pores, moisturizing, not causing activity were moderate category an IC50 value 201 g/mL medium 221 g/mL.

Techno-functional properties and in vitro bile acid-binding capacities of tamarillo (Solanum betaceum Cav.) hydrocolloids ABSTRACT Hydrocolloids were extracted from seed mucilage and the pulp fractions from red tamarillo (Solanum betaceum Cav.) mesocarp, and characterisation of their techno-functional
Hydrocolloids were extracted from seed mucilage and the pulp fractions from red tamarillo (Solanum betaceum Cav.) mesocarp, and characterisation of their techno-functional properties and in vitro bile acid-binding capacities was performed. The seed mucilage hydrocolloids that were extracted, using either 1% citric acid (THC) or water (THW), had a good foaming capacity (32–36%), whereas the pulp...
متن کاملFunctional and preliminary characterisation of hydrocolloid from tamarillo (Solanum betaceum Cav.) puree.
Hydrocolloid from tamarillo (Solanum betaceum Cav.) puree was extracted using water and characterised for the first time. Proximate compositions of the extracted hydrocolloid were also determined. Functional characteristics such as water-holding capacity, oil-holding capacity, emulsifying activity, emulsion stability, foaming capacity and stability of the hydrocolloid were evaluated in comparis...
متن کاملChemical Studies of Yellow Tamarillo (Solanum betaceum Cav.) Fruit Flavor by Using a Molecular Sensory Approach.
The odor-active volatile compounds of yellow tamarillo fruit (S. betaceum Cav.) were identified and quantified by using a sensomics approach, combining a gentle volatile extraction (solvent-assisted flavor evaporation (SAFE)), gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS), and sensory analyses (gas chromatography-olfactometry (GC-O) and aroma extract dilution analysis (AEDA)). The medium-term pu...
متن کاملAnalysis of Volatile Compounds from Solanum betaceum Cav. Fruits from Panama by Head-Space Micro Extraction
The characterization of the volatile compounds of two varieties of Solanum betaceum Cav. by means of headspace solid-phase microextraction (HS-SPME) coupled with gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) is presented. The HS-SPME method for extraction of the volatiles compounds was optimized by using a 2 central composite design. Maximum extraction of volatile compounds was achieved by using...
متن کاملPhenolic composition and antioxidant capacity of yellow and purple-red Ecuadorian cultivars of tree tomato (Solanum betaceum Cav.).
Tree tomato fruits from the yellow giant, giant purple and New Zealand purple cultivars, cultivated in Ecuador were analysed for their phenolic composition and antioxidant capacity. Twelve hydroxycinnamoyl derivatives and four anthocyanins (in the purple cultivars) were detected and identified. The hydroxycinnamoyl derivatives mostly derived from caffeic acid, being 3-O-caffeoylquinic acid and ...
