Former laboratory dogs' psychological and behavioural characteristics

It is becoming increasingly common for laboratories to allow the rehoming of dogs when they are no longer needed. There research, however, comparing characteristics from acquired more traditional sources pets. This study used Canine Behavioral Assessment and Research Questionnaire (C-BARQ) compare emotional behavioural 100 former laboratory Beagles who were rehomed a convenience sample 244 pet with known history use. Our results revealed that exhibited increased fearfulness, attention attachment behaviours, abnormal behaviours than sample, yet significantly less aggressive, likely chase other animals or escape.
