Force model for complex profile tool in broaching Inconel 718

Complex profile broaches are widely used in the manufacture of complex parts aero-engines, but forces broaching process difficult to predict and control. A new numerical model for force with tools was presented, which considered area arc length curved shear zone boundary. The were calculated by curve function boundary, is firstly predicted FEM simulation. Then, an experimental device set up carry out experiment straight accordance progressive depth cut. Based on experiments, traditional modified tool have been established. Compared model, accuracy has moderately improved. Furthermore, main (Y direction) normal (Z show a significant improvement 4.8% 9.7%, respectively, suggests that projection A1 l1 big impact process. It firmly believed proposed this paper can provide guidance design facilitate efficient high-precision machining parts.
