چکیده

The accurate operation of a Food Supply Chain (FSC) is critical issue as it directly interfaces with health and safety matters. This study addresses coordination conflict management in three-level FSC that embraces new inventory type known growing items like poultry livestock. chain involves rearing farm the supplier, processed food producer manufacturer, multiple retailers. Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) applied by manufacturer to handle retailers' systems prevent replenishment mismatches thereby waste. To increase its market coverage, needs provide retailers enough incentives enter this setting. So, cost-sharing contract designed under which undertakes fraction retailers’ holding costs. Accordingly, faces two contradictory targets, increasing coverage convincing system on one hand managing costs efficiently other hand. An analytic solution approach game-theoretic perspective developed solve model. Extensive numerical experiments case are provided, presenting fruitful managerial insights can be utilized policymakers members different settings. results highlight efficiency our VMI collaboration scheme enhancing performance chain.

A cost sharing-based coordination mechanism for multiple deteriorating items in a one manufacture-one retailer supply chain

In this paper, an inventory model for deterioration items in a two-echelon supply chain including one retailer and one manufacturer is proposed by considering the stock and price dependent demand and capacity constraint for holding inventories. First, the model is presented as a leader-follower game in which the manufacturer announces wholesale prices. Second, the retailer decides for the order...

Modeling the Trade-off between Manufacturing Cell Design and Supply Chain Design

Nowadays, we are witnessing the growth of firms that distribute the production capacity of their products to a wide geographic range to supply the demand of several markets. In this article, the relationships and interactions between cell design and supply chain design are investigated. For this purpose, a novel integrated model is presented for designing dynamic cellular manufacturing systems ...

Single cycle supply chain coordination model for fuzzy stochastic demand of perishable items

Market demand of the  perishable bakery  products are volatile. Hence, demand of such items are random variable. The most appealing demand distribution of such items is lognormal demand distribution. Using historical data, the parameters of lognormal distribution are obtained. But, there is a problem of overestimation or underestimation of the parameters. Fuzzy triangular numbers are used to ov...

Comparison and Supply Chain Optimization for Vendor-Buyer Coordination System

Here, we consider single vendor-buyer model with multi-product and multi-customer and multi-facility location-production-distribution problem. It is assumed that the players of the supply chain are coordinated by sharing information. Vendor manufactures produce different products at different plants with limited capacities and then distribute the products to the consumers according to determini...

Cost-Benefit Model for Smart Items in the Supply Chain

The Internet of Things aims to connect networked information systems and real-world business processes. Technologies, such as barcodes, radio transponders (RFID) and wireless sensor networks, which are directly attached to physical items and assets transform objects into Smart Items. These Smart Items deliver the data to realize the accurate real-time representation of ’things’ within the infor...
