Foliar Spraying of Mannose Alleviates Cadmium Stress by Changing the Subcellular Distribution and Chemical Forms of Cadmium in Wheat Root

چکیده

Cadmium (Cd)-contaminated soil has been receiving increasing attention worldwide due to the great harm it causes via food-chain enrichment through crops such as wheat. However, there is little research regarding effects of mannose (MAN) on plants in response Cd stress. Hence, hydroponic and potted experiments were conducted investigate mitigation MAN wheat under stress possible mechanism. Compared with treatment alone, foliar spraying 160 ?M significantly reduced accumulation shoots increased retention roots. The content hemicellulose was by treatment, proportion retained cell wall roots increased. Furthermore, water-extracted ethanol-extracted roots, which are easily transported shoots. In using Cd-contaminated soil, grain 26.3%, compared control. These findings indicate that resulted less being from changing chemical forms promoted growth concentration grain.

Subcellular distribution and chemical forms of cadmium in two hot pepper cultivars differing in cadmium accumulation.

A greenhouse experiment was conducted to compare the subcellular distribution and chemical forms of cadmium (Cd) in roots, stems, leaves, and fruits between a low-Cd cultivar (Yeshengchaotianjiao, YCT) and a high-Cd cultivar (Jinfuzaohuangjiao, JFZ) of hot pepper (Capsicum annuum L.). The Cd concentrations in the root's subcellular fractions, and in all chemical forms in roots, were 1.85-4.88- ...

Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Colonization Alters Subcellular Distribution and Chemical Forms of Cadmium in Medicago sativa L. and Resists Cadmium Toxicity

Some plants can tolerate and even detoxify soils contaminated with heavy metals. This detoxification ability may depend on what chemical forms of metals are taken up by plants and how the plants distribute the toxins in their tissues. This, in turn, may have an important impact on phytoremediation. We investigated the impact of arbuscular mycorrhizal (AM) fungus, Glomus intraradices, on the sub...

Influences of calcium silicate on chemical forms and subcellular distribution of cadmium in Amaranthus hypochondriacus L.

A pot experiment was conducted to investigate the effects of calcium silicate (CS) on the subcellular distribution and chemical forms of cadmium (Cd) in grain amaranths (Amaranthus hypochondriacus L. Cv. 'K112') grown in a Cd contaminated soil. Results showed that the dry weight and the photosynthetic pigments contents in grain amaranths increased significantly with the increasing doses of CS t...

Cadmium uptake, chemical forms, subcellular distribution, and accumulation in Echinodorus osiris Rataj.

Phytoremediation is a technology for extracting or inactivating pollutants in soil. Echinodorus osiris (E. osiris) is a fast growing perennial wetland plant that is common in tropical and subtropical areas and has a high tolerance to cadmium (Cd). However, the absorption dynamics, subcellular distribution and accumulation of Cd by E. osiris had not been investigated. In this paper, hydroponic e...
