Foliar epidermal and trichome micromorphological diversity among poisonous plants and their taxonomic significance

چکیده
ABSTRACT Scanning microscopic imaging has become a valuable research tool in micromorphology with improved techniques playing an important role analysing the ultrastructure of leaf specimens. The foliar epidermal anatomy 25 selected poisonous plants special emphasis on stomata and trichomes was reported using techniques, for instance, light micrographs (LMs) scanning (SEMs). This study aimed to investigate micromorphologies studied species that are helpful identification plants. Plants were collected, pressed, dried, identified then analysed study. For making slides, 1 or 2 leaves taken test tube dipped 30% nitric acid 70% lactic few minutes, placed petri plates separating epidermis. Numerous quantitative qualitative anatomical features adaxial abaxial surfaces, including cell shapes, size, subsidiary pattern anticlinal wall, morphology stomatal complex trichome diversity, examined. A small number considered had anomocytic anisocytic stomata; paracytic stomata, Ricinus communis, Euphorbia royleana, Buxus pilosula Sorghum halepense ; only Ipomoea carnea cyclocytic taxa. cells irregular, while some exhibited polygonal, wavy, tetragonal elongated morphologies. Overall, this emphasises significance analysis as resource identifying potentially demonstrates its contribution maintaining public welfare, thereby benefitting health safety.

South Africa is blessed with one of the richest floras in the world, which--not surprisingly--includes many poisonous plants. Theiler in the founding years believed that plants could be involved in the aetiologies of many of the then unexplained conditions of stock, such as gousiekte and geeldikkop. His subsequent investigations of plant poisonings largely laid the foundation for the future Sec...
متن کاملPoisonous native range plants
Plant poisoning is a common problem throughout North America, causing significant economic losses not only through death loss, but through the costs associated with reproductive loss, poor growth rates, herbicides, etc. Through good pasture management, recognizing toxic plants, and by understanding the effects of toxins on animals, plant poisoning can be largely avoided. Plants contain a variet...
